Delighted to announce I’ll be having a solo exhibition in Ealing, London. The show entitled The Two Of Us will feature a selection of paintings recently exhibited in Malta (see below).

April 2019

I am absolutely chuffed to announce that I am having my debut exhibition back home in Malta next month. The solo show will take place in the Upper Galleries of the Malta Society of Arts, Palazzo de la Salle in Valletta from 2- 23 May. The exhibition is called The Two Of Us and will feature new paintings that explore ideas around portraiture, painting processes, identity, intimacy and the intricate dynamics between artist, sitter and viewer.

The opening evening reception takes place on Thursday 2 May.

Two new paintings were shown in a group exhibition at the Space2 Gallery at Watford Museum. Curated by Ross McGuiness, the exhibition was called ‘Why You Will Get Falling In Love Wrong’ and was on until 2 March. The paintings take their cues from the Disney films, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, and how these animated adventure present love and romance as the ultimate prize. But some of us stray from the path and find ourselves in scenarios with characters far removed from the fairy tale…

My art piece, ‘Watfordians (100 Years, 100 Lives)’ won First Prize in this year’s Watford Area Arts Forum Harrington Trophy art challenge. The work is comprised of 50 paintings (acrylic on paper) featuring former and current residents of my home town of Watford, inspired by photos from the town archives, online news reports and Instagram and presented in a found photo album inscribed with a dedication dated February 12, 1910.
